Mommy Dearest!

Have You ever fought with your mother???...

Some might exclaim that this is such a lame question, who doesn't.But a few are mother's pets or really calm & quiet enough not to fight.

Experts & Psychiatrists blame it all on adolescence but we beg to differ. Nobody has probably heard our views. There could be any number of people in your house. You may have hordes of friends but I'm sure most of us won't deny that we have fought at least once in life with our mothers ( statement modified to at least once in a day according to my case). And studies have suggested ( truly so) that girls fight much more than boys!

What reasons do we find??It could be anything ranging from breakfast to hairstyle, not studying, speaking over phone, going online......pah!!the list just goes on.Also 'You" needn't start..mothers are way better at that!(my opinion). They even have problems with your opinions and ideas!!

The clash of titans might have serious consequences ( like I slammed a door on my hand!).But sometimes it is not so serious and one of you will drop it and close the issue. It seems guys often opt this route.tempers soar to an all time high, You may stop speaking or there could be "upavaasa satyagrahas"!

Yet bitter stuff now become sweet memories later in life' How much ever you fight with them they always seem to forgive you even if it is your fault. That is why probably mothers are just so special! A mother is always a person's first & best friend. That's a reason why my post's not titled "MUMS & FIGHTS".
Whatever it is,I wish You all luck(With your fights) & yet say...LOVE YOU MOM!!

The Great Indian Mindset

"Oh My God!Look at that guy,He's throwing garbage right onto the pavement.Senseless!!"

"How can he blow his nose so loudly in public??"

"No civic sense!No manners.These Indians..."

Hold on!These are not from foreigners who visit once in a blue moon thanks to us but from our own countrymen,Indians. Not that We're wrong because that's what is happening anyway.

Anger flows freely in the Indian blood [ good it did otherwise we would never be independent] which if channelled properly can be directed at the required places. It is very true that whatever is happening in our country is not all hunky-dory.We are frustrated, feeling betrayed & totally helpless. We are screaming at the top of our voices to be heard, to open the eyes of the authority. We are slanging & complaining.Voila! you are introduced tot he "Great Indian Mindset"!
I'm trying not to be sarcastic about my own people as that would seem unfair. But I hope most of you will agree that we are adept at pointing fingers, blaming others & ranting about everything under the sun. Alright..I'm not going to scold ourselves. After all we have a right to be angry.Complaining will make us restless & take us nowhere but I'm not hinting that we should stop it totally.Instead we must try & find some solutions.

Its not that easy ( many people would find it easier to do IIT-JEE maths than to find a solution to a simple problem). It is very pleasing to know that a few people are working towards it but as we can see it plainly, it's not enough!

That is where the youth of the country jump in.We are an angry lot.we write blogs, vent it out & remain quiet like a dormant volcano. Why shouldn't we give it a try??

C'mon everyone!I want us all to give some thought & put up your proposed solution to any problem concerning India (however silly you think it might be). I'm sure we'll be surprised by how many bright minds we have!

This reminds me of a song which we sung when back at school-

"Honge kaamiyaab,Hum honge kaamiyaab
Hum honge kaamiyaab ek din,
Oh ho man mein hai vishwas, poora hai vishwas,
Hum honge kaamiyaab ek din."
